Tasty food, but make sure you have cash. The first night we didn't have enough and it was late, but they had no problem letting us take the food. We paid the next day, and ate there each day of our trip.
If they are really hungry and do not want to drive far, this will do for a meal. but our fish were far overcooked and the frits were so tender.
Had the last of the lobster rolls, wish they had done crab rolls left. But the portions were generous and tasted great. Friend had the chicken wrap and said it was very nice.
We hadn't planned on dining here, but the Chowder House in Meat Cove was closed on Thursdays, so we ended up at the Hut instead. We had to drive to the Coop to get more cash since we didn't have enough on us. My husband and I both ordered the snow crab roll, which we enjoyed but felt was overpriced at $18 each without any sides. My parents ordered the fish and chips and were surprised by the small coleslaw portion. We thought adding fries or a larger side would make the meals more satisfying. When we asked for fries, we were told there was a 15-minute wait, which seemed excessive for a takeout Hut. Overall, we were happy with the food but felt it was pricey for the portion sizes. We recommend bringing at least $50 for a family of four.
