I love this restaurant. I often go to lunch. the buffet was really nice (before-Covid) and was one of the things that won me over. the personal is nice and I always have a great experience when I dive.
The owner guides them through what is vegan on the buffet or menu. also w get her brot brought directly to the table so they don't get one with butter etc. if they let them know in advance for even small group, they will make sure that they have certain things on the buffet for w. but the menu options were also very easy to order. dinner buffet was worth the ride. eating was also good on a rainy slow Saturday. hopefully happy cow will get an update on hours and menu. You can always call her, the owner said. they also love groups and were so attentive to them and love the couple that is there for a date. kellner was so efficient that they could enjoy the talks around the table. very clean bathroom and tables.
I went there alone as usual cuz I can't seem to get a date. I was greeted and immediately asked if I wanted to eat from the buffet. I had a vegan warming up that gave away my eating habits, so she told me what was vegan from the buffet that was hard to remember. oh, but girl is so beautifully decorated and I wish I had a date. please take her lover here, it is the right environment. I felt lonely eating myself. the food was good
Despite not being all vegetarian, Haveli is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in St. Louis. All vegan options are clearly marked and there are a comparable amount of vegan options to a vegetarian Indian restaurant that uses dairy. While their naan is not vegan, the paratha breads are, which I love. It's available plan or stuffed with potato or cauliflower. For entrees I enjoy chana masala, bhindi masala, aloo gobi, and gobi manchurian. My husband and I usually split a few and have leftovers. I tend to avoid buffets at non-vegan restaurants bc I am never sure how many options I will have, so I have not tried it.
