Cafe Passion - St-Lambert

I was quite disappointed with my underwhelmed salad. Soy sauce served with the salad bowl but nothing else. I have to say Soya sauce hardly belong on a salad. Not good at all. I would say not worth the price and very little in it. Stated sweet potatoes but I found tiny cube like pieces with blackened edge...maybe 6 maximum. Not good at all. Waitress brought our salad and drinks and never returned. Definitely not good for dinner but I did like their breakfast the couple of times I had been.

You know you’ve come to wrong place when it’s sunny outside and there are three of you, but they won’t let you sit outside as you’d have to join the small mobile tables together to do so. Thus, started as 1 star review but food was enough for 2 stars.

Nice interior decor, with old tin ceilings from hardware store historical beginnings. It's a nice, comfortable place to enjoy breakfast/brunch. Servers are on point. Their standard coffee is OK, but not special. Eggs Benedict are good, although severed with a few accompanying hash browns and beans. Fruit and yogurt accompaniments are quite good.

We had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant. The chef made sure that each dish was beautifully presented. While the tables were a bit close together, it didn't hinder our enjoyment. The ambiance was pleasant, and our server was attentive to our needs. I attempted to practice my French, but was surprised that the server struggled with English and that there was no English menu available. Despite this, I loved the beef stroganoff and carrot cake, and the biscotti was a standout. I would definitely return to this restaurant next time we're in St. Lambert. I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for a while now, often spending a lot of time there. My experiences were mostly positive, but recently there have been some changes, particularly with the staff. Some of them have been unfriendly and sometimes even hostile. Adding to the unfriendly atmosphere is the lack of cool air circulating in the restaurant on the hottest days of the summer, possibly due to the air conditioning always being off. It is concerning to see the restaurant quiet on Saturday nights, as it used to be one of the most popular places in the city. It seems that this restaurant may soon become a ghost town if things do not improve.
