He quickly showed us to our table (which was very cramped) and gave us the menu and some chips and salsa. To start off the chips and salsa are the bread and butter of mexican restaurants, the salsa was almost certainly from a can and the chips were stale. He then proceeded to take our order and we ordered our drinks and then when ordering our food, we asked if the meal was big enough for two to share as we weren 't very hungry. Instead of explaining how big the portion was or anything useful his response was simply no . We ordered our 2 meals with this in mind and waited. We got our drinks; the margarita was very basic and too sugary, the apple juice was packed with ice which meant after 5 sips it was all gone, no refills. The wait was not overly long but when the food came out, we realized that the meal was big enough for 2 people and could have been shared. This made us feel a little peeved. This is also where we met our server, and she was very polite. The food was pretty standard, not bad but not great either. Overall, I would say that this is a good location to go for a quick spanish style meal, but I would not recommend if you were looking for something meaningful, for instance, taking out someone special for a meal. Something else I will mention, as mentioned in other reviews, the prices for beers are pretty excessive. 9dls for a beer as of writing. The same beer across the road at the hotel is around 6dls.
The best Mexican food in Rochester. From the chef to the owner, no words to explain the professionalism and courtesy of the place. Good job! A very satisfied customer.
Weakest Margarita I have ever had. Food ok but only 1 server for whole place.
No bad for Rochester tacos. Not too authentic, but still tasty. My group placed a to go order which was ready on time and still hot when we got it back home. We ordered tacos carne asada. I have to eat gluten free and had the soft corn taco shells. Again, not the best tacos in Rochester, but they are not the worst. Not bad if you need something quick.
The food is incredibly small. I ordered a quesadilla for my mom for dinner and it came in a small sandwich size box. It was one tortilla folded over with very little filling. It was $11, plus with the grubhub fees and tip it came to $27+. It wasn’t even worth the $11. Much better quesadillas for your dollar elsewhere.
