Wonderful views of the Wilder Kaiser. Whizz down the piste and this place is off to the right - watch out for the sign at the bottom of the pine wood. Be sure not to miss the turn or you have to walk uphill at the next turn. Only do this if you are a thigh-muscle workout freak. We sat outside on the sunny terrace with our backs to the chalet and watched the view demonstrate its skills. Very good, I could watch this all day. The lady who served us solved a mystery for me. The Austrians call it Fleischkäse ; the Bavarians call it Leberkäse - and it's the same thing. And it is neither liver nor cheese, although at a pinch you could tick it off as flesh - the closest English translation would probably be spam But the lady here is actually from Bavaria - hence the Leberkäse on the menu. They give you a couple of thin slices here, with a fried egg on top (natürlich!) And chips. It's nice inside too, and the loo isn't downstairs, a big plus if you are wearing ski boots.
