He ensured that my baby granddaughters were happy with their meal choices and constantly checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. When one of my granddaughters needed to use the restroom, Chris kindly offered to watch my youngest granddaughter while I took the older one. His assistance was truly a lifesaver and allowed us to enjoy our meal without any interruptions. I highly recommend this restaurant thanks to the exceptional service provided by Chris. He went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was incredibly friendly and truly a Godsend during our visit.
The whole team was fantastic. We had a pleasant conversation with Chris when we arrived, who was very kind. Becky provided excellent service and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be coming back. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
My partner and I visited this restaurant on Thursday, November 14th. We ordered some food and a drink. My partner asked for a glass of rose with lemonade for me, but it came mixed together in a small bottle, which I didn't mind too much, except it wasn't as good as wine from a larger bottle. When we ordered a second drink, my partner asked for a glass from a bottle topped up with lemonade, but instead, he received a full bottle of wine and a pint of lemonade. When he pointed out the mistake and said we only needed a glass, the server suggested we take the bottle home, but we didn't want to spend nearly £30 on a bottle of wine. It was clear that she did not want the hassle of a refund. After waiting for a long time and not receiving the glass of wine, my partner approached a gentleman at the bar, but was ignored. This terrible experience upset us, and after another 10 minutes, my partner asked again, receiving uncomfortable looks. Finally, after 30 minutes, the server came over to issue a refund with a begrudging apology and annoyance towards us. She said we could only have our drink after the refund, which was unbelievable. This treatment was absolutely disgusting. My partner suggested we should have received the glass for free after all the trouble and waiting, but he was ignored. I will never visit this place again, and the staff all need training on customer service skills.
We were glamping nearby around 5/10min away and fancied lunch. We got seated as we had not booked and got good service we had 3 lunch meals n a kids.omg was amazing for the price .Will defo recommend to eat here and next time we glamp we will re visit here too. Steak ciabatta 2 fish ciabatta n a kids sausage n mash meal all 3 were delightful. Will visit again.
Got starters of calamari for 3 people everyone had one or two pieces and typically everyone found plastic strips in side the batter when we called the waiter he said it wasn’t plastic but some kind of membrane that should have been removed before cooking.Even though he admitted that it wasn’t right we never got anything knocked of the bill apart from the calamari starters that was inedible.Shame that a place we use to frequent regularly for over 20 years is now over the last 18 months a place where we go reluctantly!
