The Lemon Tree - St. Catharines

We had the BEST experience at the Lemon Tree. Our waitress Summer was SO lovely and kind and the food is so amazing. Great portions, awesome cocktails, crazy delicious food. My boyfriend (who is not vegan) was just as blown away as I was, we loved it so much and will be back time and time again!!!Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian, being able to order off of the whole menu was such a treat. So many great options!!

The server was extremely friendly, (especially when she met a table of her young age friends), however, when questioned about the food, I may have been better off talking to a wall.We were not aware that this was a vegan restaurant until we ordered something with chicken, to which the response was, “that’s made from soy”. We should have walked out then but after a really long drive, we changed our selection to a ‘foolproof’ choice. At least that’s what we thought. When you can’t finish a Greek Salad, there’s definitely something wrong and there was. How can anyone make a Greek Salad with Tasteless, pale green Iceberg lettuce that just doesn’t cut it!! There were 3 very small Kalamata olives, very little tomato and a few tiny pieces of feta cheese (possibly curd or soy). I was really hungry but just couldn’t eat it. Talk about disappointment. No Romaine or Green Peppers, Red Onion, Olives or Feta to speak of. Not even Red Wine Vinegar or anything that tasted like it should have. When I expressed my disappointment, I literally just got the cold treatment the bill. A group of local friends and I happened to pass the restaurant a few days later and they will surely tell 7 friends, each of whom will likely tell 7 friends.

First time visiting, for a weekday lunch had a few hiccups. The restaurant followed up promptly. The lunch was absolutely delicious! The Burek lunch pictured here is amazing!!! -wonderful with the salad! New staff are training. Service was a bit inconsistent at first, it’s a seat yourself place. I’m very disappointed to say I got a dessert to-go order of lemon cheesecake and a dish of take home tzatziki dip and the tzatziki container was not packed properly or separated from the dessert. It spilled all over and soaked my lemon cheesecake cakes. $18 worth of cheesecake ruined by improper packaging. Very sad to say….I really wish it could have been a better first experience. But I will be back to give it another try! ?

The food and service here was incredible. I'd heard wonderful things about this place for a long time and I finally got to spend a memorable meal with a friend tonight. Best vegan food I've ever had, hands down. They have great drinks too.
