Rescue Dogs Vegan Hot Dogs & Street Fare

We got to try rescue dogs at the Sarnia Vegfest this past weekend. The hotdogs are homemade which is so cool. My partner and I both tried the classic dogs and piled them high with classic toppings. Delish. The nachos with 'cheese' sauce, 'meat' and other fresh toppings were fantastic. I only wish I lived closer and I would be eating here all the time!! Even better to know part of the money you spend helps animals in need.

Super good! My friends and I tried Rescue Dogs at VegFest and we were super satisfied! Unlike other vegan hotdogs these have a great texture and there are so many different types to choose from. Puts a "regular" hotdog truck to shame. I mean, chili cheese hotdogs, YUM!

The owner was hilarious and the hot dog was one of the best I've ever had vegan or otherwise. I would highly recommend this place even if you are not a vegan. The one with kim chi is my favorite.

The rescue dogs food truck was one of the first places I found after I first moved to St Catharines. I was wandering homesick and lost when the food truck owner said hello to me and started a conversation. It was my first human contact in town. He is a truly wonderful human being in tune to the way others are feeling. It was like he knew I was feeling untethered. He was the first person to make this place feel like home.I bought a few of the rescue dogs for myself and the people I was staying with, and their magical powers of friendship spread. Seriously, nobody there was vegan in the slightest, but the dogs are good enough that everyone loved them anyway. If you go to St Catharines and don't try these, or have a chat with the owner, I feel sorry for you, my friend.
