Links of the Rockway - St. Catharines

Played a couple of weeks agao with our golf group and noted that with the dry summer the big pond has been depleted to feed the smaller signature hole pond on No. 18. Generally the course was maintained but there were many dead spots. Greens were quick but somewhat rough.

Came here with my ladies travel golf league and couldn't have been more pleased. Welcomed with a smiling face right from the starters to the club house staff. The day only got better when the cart girl came out. If I could've put her in my pocket and brought her home I would've . She put so much sunshine into the day. They carried local Oast House beer and a beautiful cider on tap. After a hot and exhausting round we were treated well in the club house. Our server was young and charming. I never caught his name but I wish I had to give him a big shout out. My golf partner and I shared a pizza. Fabulous. The crust was light and airy and the flavors delicious.We sampled the wines both red and white. Simply delicious. I'm not sure when I will be back but I definitely look forward to it. If only they had an adorable staff member that could magically take a few strokes off my game. ;)

This is a good track I very good condition. We enjoyed a glass of their local wine and then bought 4 bottles for our wine cellar.

The 9 and dine meal offering was 3 items beef, chicken or fish. We both chose the beef, the salad was OK, the steak was so tough, the Rossi potatoes are supposed to be crisp, these were drowned in gravy and soggy, the veg was overly salty and also dripping on the same gravy, carrots and beet tops were the veg. My partner was sick all night from the meal and was vomitting, all he could taste was the meal he had.I must admit the service was good. Flies were settling on our dinner.Will not eat there agin

We took my father-in-law out for lunch for his birthday, there was 4 of us, the place was not busy, yet the waitress was slow as molasses & clueless, she looked like she just got out of bed, her hair was unkempt. Our lunch was just ok, however our plates were very hot which is a good thing but they put our cold salads on the same plate, which turned mushy very fast and way to much dressing, definitely no chef preparing the plates but maybe an inexperienced line cook. Had the grilled lobster sandwich which was a little over grilled.
