Comeau's Seafood Restaurant

I have been going to comeau's for many many years and we have always had the best meals and the best service. Their fish and chips are one of the best in New Brunswick. Some people are just born to complain ,so don't judge this great Restaurant by a few that are never happy no matter where they go. I will be going again this weekend, and can't wait.

Comeau's is a wonderful spot for a family brunch or catching up with friends over fish and chips or a plate of clams. Their portions are generous and their milkshakes bring you back in time. Everything on the menu is delicious with homemade detail in every bite.

It was just Ok. The lobster roll was Ok. The portion of clams scallops was good. The batter slid right off some of it. Good slaw. Friendly staff. Pretty greasy stuff.

Service during my last visit at this restaurant was terrible. One wait staff, one helper with cash and carrying out take out orders and maybe two people in the kitchen. Arrived around 5 p.m. for inside dining. Since they were still operating with reduced seating (from past Covid restrictions) and with insufficient staffing, there was a 30 minute wait to get a seat. Interior was messy with a lot of junk laying around including cleaning products. While the waitress worked at a steady pace, she alone was unable to properly look after all the customers. It took a long time for our food to be ready from the kitchen and certainly was not as good as it used to be during past visits. From the time we arrived until the time we left, it occupied close to two hours.

My wife and I dropped in there because their website and menu was only on Facebook. Facebook is garbage. After we arrived, I asked for a menu to take to our hotel. She said sorry, no. I can't help. I know how they can help next time ......... get rid of Facebook and get a good website.
