The Donut Experiment - St. Augustine

What a charming donut shop in St. Augustine! The aroma of freshly made donuts wafts through the parking lot, making it impossible not to dash inside. The Donut Experiment prepares each donut fresh to order, allowing you to choose your frosting, toppings, and drizzles. My kids had a blast selecting their toppings, and they absolutely loved the warm, fresh taste. The donuts were delicious, providing a wonderful experience with their crispy texture. The coffee was piping hot, which was perfect on such a chilly day. We will definitely be back to try more flavors and the iced coffee!

Delicious, fresh donuts made to order! They’re fried, dipped, and topped right in front of you. We intended to buy a half dozen to share with our kids at home, but ended up devouring the entire box ourselves! The maple bacon flavor was our favorite, and their coffee far surpasses Starbucks or Dunkin'. This place is definitely a MUST-STOP for a sweet treat while you’re on the road.

Amazing service and wonderful conversation. This place is a little piece of heaven. The donuts are perfect size and made fresh in front of you. The toppings are endless, and the cake batter donuts are just better in my opinion. I have tried a few of these “boutique” donut places, just to be met with premade generic donuts that are too large and too sweet for my liking and by the time I eat half of one I feel like I have regretted my decision. But this is definitely not the case at the Donut experiment the donuts are perfectly sized where you could eat more than one and they just have a better taste since they’re made fresh in front of you. I can’t wait to go back on my next trip to Saint Augustine. Definitely a must do on any local or tourist list.
