This place is spotless and delicious!! Previous reviews indicated cash only, but they are now taking credit cards. We ordered several vegetarian dishes and every single one of them was incredible. The staff was warm, hospitable, and welcoming. Don?t forget to try the paneer tikka masala and the dessert!! Can?t wait to go back.
The Gobi cauliflower was delicious is on the specials as an appetizer. The naan is amazing all the aloo and the tiki Marsala are delicious. This is a family owned restaurant. It?s really clean and they take great care on the spice level of heat
Some of the signs on the walls outlining their "rules" were not only unnecessary but also distracting. For example, their prominent sign stating "NO outside beverages ALLOWED!!!" felt misplaced and irrelevant in the context of dining culture in the U.S., especially since I usually spend around $25 for lunch. The older gentleman, who I believe is the owner, was my server, but he could greatly benefit from training in small talk and improving his facial expressions to enhance the overall hospitality experience. The restaurant has a competitive edge due to the lack of other Indian options within a 35-mile radius, which may explain why it’s often empty. If you're in St. Augustine and craving Indian food, I would recommend ordering takeout instead of dining in.
Additionally, some of the signs they display regarding their "rules" are unnecessary and take away from the overall experience. For example, the prominent "NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES ALLOWED!!!" sign feels excessive, especially since it's not a common issue among American diners. When I'm spending at least $25 for lunch, I don't expect to be reminded of such rules. The older gentleman, whom I believe owns the restaurant, has served me most of the times I've visited. I really think he could benefit from some training in small talk and basic hospitality. Their only advantage is that there's no other Indian restaurant within a 35-mile radius, which gives them a monopoly in the area. It's no surprise that the place is often empty. If you're craving Indian food in St. Augustine, I highly recommend opting for takeout instead of dining in.
