Metro Diner - St. Augustine

We were at this point and they were in Palm Coast and they are both fantastic! I had the fried chicken eggs Benedict and it's my favorite dish! My Gf had the cookies and Gravy with eggs and breakfast potatoes and also enjoyed them. The severity does not have the most taste of sausage, but it is still quite good on the cookies. The service is fantastic, the prices are great, and the portions are HUGE! You are great for breakfast and lunch!

Served for fish and chips went away after I had eaten the best fish and chips of my life! The dough on the fish was incredibly crispy and delicious. The frits were also crispy, and the Coleslaw was fresh and full of taste! The staff was friendly and attentive. The floors were one in the need of a good sweep, but I suspect that it was hard to get with the constant flow of customers, they had no big deal as everything else looked clean.

Metro Diner is an excellent place for breakfast! We ate in Augusta Georgia and St Augustine Florida Diners, and the food is consistently good. Fast service too. We highly recommend.

The second time was better than the first! The food was AMAZING and Jessica is sweet!!! This is an MUST every time I go to St. Augustine!! Also the sweetest thing happened, one of the customers over heard us mention that it was my daughter's birthday and she bought her a piece of chocolate cake

Wonderful experience! Third time at a Metro Diner on our vacation and our best experience yet. Britney M. knows how to balance our needs, and manage expectations. Juggling our table’s requests against the line manager (Marcus), was interesting to see (and hear) across the restaurant. Glad we were able to get what we wanted no matter how Marcus wanted it. Actually that’s the only blemish on our experience today…. Really, our party of 8 is ordering more food than the rest of the customers here combined and if we want a side of something, it shouldn’t be a big enough deal to make an issue of it— if you won’t give us a free sample, simply say kindly, “there’s a .50 charge for that.” Stay professional. Don’t bully your waitress in front of the restaurant guests; that makes us uncomfortable and we came here to relax and have a good time, not to get people in trouble or watch people snapped at because we didn’t know better than to make a small request. Anyway. Other than that spot on our experience, we had a fabulous time. The food here is outstanding. The waitress was polite, friendly, and fast with service. And goodness you have to order the Hawaiian burger and the fish n chips! We can’t wait to come back!
