I dont think you would ever see this place as a restaraunt from the outside. Located inside the Rutherford house, they serve brunch and afternoon tea in a cozy room. We made reservations for the brunch and opted for the cocktail pairings. A wonderful 4 course brunch including french toast, eggs Benedict waffle which a HUGE piece of bacon, omlette and choice of dessert. The scone dessert was absolutely magical, I normally dont go for scones because they always end up bone dry and I hate it, this wasn't the case here. I dont care how much butter they used, this scone was extremely moist with small bits of white chocolate inside. They also made their own raspberry butter that came with the scone, I'm glad I dont know how to make this raspberry butter or else I'd be eating it with everything, it's that godly. We were also extremely late, but they sat us anyways for our reservation so I was very appreciative of their fantastic service. If I come back to edmonton, I'm coming back.
Loved this restaurant. Had a wonderful lunch w a relative today in this museum and historic home. Great three course pre-fixe but w small portions. Wonderful creative salad w nut- cracker. Tiny Chicken pot pie with puff pastry on top and perfect selection of desserts. If it sounds like I am gushing it's because I am. We were seated in a former porch now lovely glassed in dining room. Service was attentive. Price was great.
Incredible brunch. Loved absolutely everything about this place. We had great service and were not rushed. Will definitely go there again. I had to go downstairs to thank the chef for incredible food. Plus the bonus to finish the meal with a delicious dessert, we both chose the scone and a latte. Yummy!
Wow, so good! I love the renovations they made to the the arbor room in Rutherford house. Their pastries are to die for and their brunch is outstanding. I would come back in a heartbeat!
