My favorite lunch treat! This unassuming little food court spot has the best sushi that I've eaten in Edmonton. The freshness, quality and price blow some expensive proper sushi spots out of the water. Very popular at lunch for a reason, but always worth the wait. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$10–20
I ordered an avocodo maki roll and spicy salmon maki roll: both were very good and for a reasonable price! They gave a very decent amount of ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce along with it. Service was pleasant as well : This is a solid spot that I would come to again! Price per person: CA$1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I'll never know what it tastes like. Ordered sushi when not a single person was around, waited 10 minutes and nothing. Eventually people came around and got their orders, I guess they call it in ahead of time. Waited nearly 15 minutes and still nothing. I had to leave for work. Would have been nice to be told it would be over a 15 minute wait even though nobody was around. I paid for my order I was never going to get in time, out $15 as I didn't have the time to try to get a refund.
Sushi-ya stands out in the food court—a modest spot with surprisingly reasonable prices. The sushi, in particular, is a flavorsome delight worth savoring. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
