Staff are friendly and efficient in managing the vast and continuous hordes trying to force themselves into the place. Loads of flavours and toppings available. The hot brownie was particularly good with a big scoop of fudge ice cream. Throwing in a lump of tablet with the coffee is a nice touch. Will definitely go back.
I always feel harsh giving less than five stars as I know as a small business what it means. But I’ve marked it done because it’s core product is gelato and it’s just not that good. It’s too sweet and is more like cheap Iceland ice cream than proper Italian artisan gelato. However my daughter devoured her waffles. I chose a tiramisu semi freddo but it lacked defined flavours and was too sweet to finish. Coffee was average too. This place is a “must visit” on many guides to St. Andrews, and you’ll go notwithstanding this review, because there’s no where better in the town.
I was in St Andrews four times. So good is her vegan gelato. I have vegan chocolate and vegan biscoff cookie purple. So delicious!
A St Andrews institution that has been here for decades. You now have a healthy line of vegan ice creams and judge by the queues outside to take away it is likely to come here for a long time. Vegan hearty items are limited, but definitely a visit for a delicious ice cream or sorbet when you walk along the cathedral or East Sands.
Unreal sorbets that make you a snowman from the sorbet and then eat!
