Smash Burger - St. Albert

We were hopeful this would be a new addition list of places to eat out, but sadly, it was not.The burgers are rather plain compared to what's available at many of the new custom burger shops that have sprung up. The ordering process at the counter is awkward and nothing comes with fries included. The seat is equally awkward and uncomfortable with distracting music set at that slightly too high a volume -just above background.The fries were ok - Just not something we'd return for and the price was far too much for the atmosphere and quality. There are better burgers, better fries, and better seating for that kind of money.

On my quest for Edmonton's Best Burger ordering at lest two different burgers on every visit.This was my first visit to Smash Burger. I have to say I was a little disappointed.On of my burgers was burnt, the whole outside of the patties. the second one was just ok. For cooking every thing fresh and I was the only order being made at the time. That's just a little sad.Price wise for what you get, they are at the bottom of my list for Best Burger. Five Guys, Fat Burger and Carl's Jr. all worth the drive.

A nice little place to stop in and have a fresh burger. It was quiet and relaxed which was nice after work.

This is a good choice for a hamburger and fries- even the milkshakes are quite good- we would go again

We did not feel like cooking last Friday and at the last minute decided to try this place. I had the Alberta burger, large which basically is a loaded burger with a fried egg on it with whiskey jack BBQ sauce. The burgers are quite good. The fries (which you have to order separately) are amazing. Their smash fries are seasoned with rosemary and other herbs and are thinner than most. Nice and crispy. The deep fried pickles weren't great, and way too salty. The milkshakes are pretty good but then pretty hard to screw up a milk shake. The whole meal was quite greasy but you kinda have to know that going in. The price wasn't too bad, cheaper than Delux but more Than typical fast food. On par with Five Guys price-wise. Ill definitely go back.
