We've frequented McDonalds restaurants for years. This one is located in the Walmart store in St. Albert, Alberta. We are from out of town and had lunches here from time to time over many years. We happened to be in store twice in a couple of weeks this past month and ordered the signature wrap meal both times. Each time they were served cold and limp. The wrapper right on the package says, "served hot". Once was OK, but to get the same thing again with the same problem was disappointing. Maybe they have a staff change or something.
Usual McDonalds crappy food. Tasteless junk. Hamburgers taste like cardboard, fries are overly salty. There are many better options than McDonalds e.g A & W.
The people working the morning shift at this McDonalds are rude and terribly slow. This morning I ordered a black coffee at the drive-tru and when I received it there was clearly cream and sugar. The lady who handed it to me opened the window, shoved it in my hand, and closed the window without a word. I waited for her to come back so I could correct her mistake and she never returned even after I waved at her and tapped on the glass. I walked inside only to be greeted by another rude lady who told me I was wrong and that ordered a "triple triple" not a black coffee. The restaurant itself is filthy with trays on the tables and ketchup on the walls. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for dine-in or drive-tru purposes.
The new renovations have placed the entrance to the children's play area next to an exterior door which cannot be watched from anywhere in the restaurant. If you want to feel safe about your kids in the play area you would have to go in with them. The bathrooms are revoltingly dirty. The food is the same as other restaurants in the chain. Kids want to go to this location because of the play area but I will be taking them into Edmonton for a cleaner and safer play place.
