Italian Bakery's Mercato - St. Albert

This charming bakery and café has delicious food and great coffee. The only downside is that it doesn't open until 9 am, which is a bit late for those who enjoy breakfast out. I would suggest opening at 8 am instead.

This community market is the perfect spot! Highly recommended for coffee and fresh baked goods at breakfast. The gelato is also a delicious treat for the afternoon. We also loved the wide selection of deli items, baked goods, and other food options.

This was my first time at this restaurant, and it may have been a one-time situation. I received a gift card for my birthday to Mercato, so my wife and I decided to have coffee and dessert there. When we tried to use the gift card at the register they informed us it was not valid at this location, which was fine. However, the entire customer service experience was terrible. The young blonde girl at the register barely acknowledged us, and her cold and short demeanor made us laugh because we couldn't understand why she was so rude. We paid for our order, and my wife went to sit with the dessert while I waited for our coffee. There were two people ahead of me waiting for their drinks, and despite me being next in line, the person behind me received their order before me. I had to ask the girl working the coffee machine for my order, which seemed to confuse her as if I had already received it. She eventually found our order and made it, without any acknowledgment or gratitude. The coffee and dessert were good, but the poor customer service left us feeling disappointed.

Love the selection they get! only place in the city where I could find children brioss for a decent price near me! I also love the deli area and the pasta for home! I'm over now and then just to see if I missed something.

Bought assortment of desserts. Simply delicious, not overly sweet. Staff are patient and kind. Great selection of a variety of foods. Definitely be back.
