Murgano's Peri Peri Chicken - St Albans

I used to order from Murganos multiple times a week with my coworkers, but after experiencing terrible service, we will not be returning. I was shocked by the poor customer service I received when some items were missing from my order. When I called to inform the restaurant, the man on the phone rudely interrupted me and claimed that he personally packed the bag so nothing could be missing. He refused to listen to my concerns and said it was not his problem, telling me to contact the delivery company instead. This lack of respect towards a loyal customer is unacceptable. I will not be ordering from Murganos again due to this unfortunate experience. The employee's attitude towards me was disrespectful and unprofessional, and it's clear that he lacks basic manners and social skills. I hope the management takes this feedback into consideration when deciding who to hire in the future.

I cannot express how delicious our takeout was from this restaurant. We had extremely spicy chicken wraps with chunks of high-quality chicken, fresh salad, and amazing peri peri sauce. We also ordered a side of rice, chips, and 5 hot wings. Everything was cooked perfectly and arrived hot, despite living 15 minutes away from the restaurant. I highly recommend this place, the chips were crispy and fresh, and the rice tasted homemade. 11/10 rating from me.

Some of the food is quite nice like the fried chicken and rice but it is let down by the cleanliness. The sauce bottles were sticky and covered in finger prints and the toilets were not very hygienic. The service is ok. The decor is a bit tacky and cheap looking.

For the price it’s on of the best meals I’ve ever had. Smacks Nando’s very hard. I’m talking 10 second knock out. Deserves more customers. Who cares about hygiene that’s irrelevant lol
