Gourmet Kitchen Chinese Take Away

We tried many Chinese restaurants in St Albans, but we kept coming back to Gourmet Kitchen. It is a local favorite and the best we have found. We highly recommend the aubergine in black bean sauce and the beef ho fun (wide) noodles. The service is quick and friendly.

I frequently order Chinese food from this restaurant and there is always an issue with whether or not they include drinks in my order, even if I don't ask for them. However, tonight was the final straw when, after my order was delivered, they informed me that their card machine was not working. I offered to pay with cash, but they still could not accommodate. They only accepted cash and seemed unhappy about it.

Had my first farewell from here, was excellent, eating came very hot, the standard of the food was excellent, not greasy, the aromen and spicy really out. the price was right, I can't complain about everything.

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered last night to collect. Missed rice from order. Lamb was overcooked and burnt. Chicken was slimy. Chips had a tonne of salt on them. Had to throw away Called to complain. Waste of time. Advised would call us back...didn't. Terrible food and...customer service. Will never use Gormet kitchen again. Please avoid. Had to give rate to place review but I wouldn't give this place any ratings
