Bakery/sandwich shop, Main street, small town. You would think it had all the elements to be a wonderful lunch date location for my wife and I. Nope. Hard to read menu boards, poor service and a meal that lacked the character to match the surroundings. Veggie sandwich was weak, little vegetables on flat, tasteless bread (from a bakery) with no sauces. Soup was tasty but way too much salt. Again presentation and services rounded out a very poor experience.
It was hot cross bun season when we stopped in and theirs were so good that I made a point of coming back the next day to get another set (by 9 am there were only two left)Also had a cinnamon roll and a fab cookie.place is tiny so tended to eat in the room but a great place to pick up a treat for a day of adventure
Nothing to write home about but had a small variety of foods. One thing that stands out was a surprise on the bill for $1 for a slice of cheese and 86 cents for a slice of tomato! They didn't say they were charging for it.
So we decided to try this place out because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. Everyone has a bad day, but this was just not impressive. It was a quiet Wednesday afternoon, and there was no line up. Yet it took 25 minutes to make a sandwich.I had the ham and cheese, which was a piece of ham, a piece of cheese, some lettuce and small portion of mayo on toasted bread. No Mustard, and a very tiny amount of filling. The soup was very good, and was the reason they got 2/5 instead of 1/5.
