Tokyo - Spruce Pine

I am disappointed to say that we will not be returning to this restaurant after our experience on Sunday night, despite being loyal customers from the beginning. We arrived close to closing time, leaving us with limited choices of food that was both old and unappetizing. To make matters worse, when I went to pay at the register, I was charged the full price for the subpar food that my daughter and I attempted to eat. The bill came to $33.00 and some change, and to add insult to injury, a $6 tip was automatically included without my authorization. Previously, tipping was voluntary and the amount was left to the customer's discretion. I feel taken advantage of, especially considering the amount of money I have spent at this restaurant over the years. It is truly disappointing.

Tasty food. It comes out often making the food fresh. Service is good. Fortune cookie is always stale but really, who eats those anyways?

The staff is always friendly and welcoming at this restaurant. My favorite dishes are hibachi chicken, General Tso's chicken, and mei fun. I enjoy the buffet and like to try new things. The takeout option is also great, however, my partner has had some issues with his orders in the past. Despite requesting fried rice with his meal, he received sticky and clumpy white rice instead. This has discouraged him from making future takeout purchases. My orders have always been correct and delicious. Overall, I give this restaurant 4 stars due to the inconsistencies with my partner's orders.

Great choice, the food had good flavor but it could have been a bit hotter in temperature.
