St. George's Barbecue - Springfield

This local family owned shop has 3 locations in the Springfield. I usually stop in this location on National and Battlefield but I'm sure the quality is as good at all 3 locations. The absolute best donuts in the Springfield area. Made fresh every day, not frozen like those chain places. Great family run business. The glazed are my favorite but have many other donuts to mix and match.

It was my first time at St. George and it was everything my coworkers promised it was. Not only did I get great recommendations but I also got a couple of free samples. Donuts were great but they were out of fritters. I’ll definitely be back for fritters!

The apple fritter is about perfect. This one has some deep fried crunch to it. I don't like the $2 price tag but it does have some size and heft to justify the cost.

I stopped in last weekend to pick up some Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast and couldn't have been happier to do so. A full tray of rolls greeted me, along with cases of donuts, long johns, bear claws, apple fritters... the list goes on and on! The Cinnamon Rolls were perfect. Soft, warm and filling the car with a wonderful aroma on the way home. I did buy a couple of donuts and ate them in the car and I don't care if my glucose level looks like the Dow Jones index. Whatever the occasion, whatever the Holiday or you need to order something special, this is a terrific bakery!

Best donut shop in Springfield mo I have been eating at this establishment since my grandpa owned the Cafe 2 doors down and in 30 yrs they still have the best donuts for the price
