Niji Sushi Grill - Springfield

My fiancée and I decided to try Niji on April 24th after finding our favorite ramen shops closed or with long waits. We ordered two bowls of ramen and a sushi roll from their online menu, which looked promising. When we picked up our food, we were immediately disappointed. The noodles, vegetables, and meat were packed in a 3-compartment polystyrene container that was cold and unappetizing. The broth came in a small plastic container, forcing us to transfer everything to our own dishes to eat. This is unlike any other place where we have ordered ramen, where it comes in a to-go container ready to eat. The food was cold and we had to warm it up. The taste of the food was also disappointing. The ramen came with corn, tofu, and green beans, which are not typical in ramen. My spicy pork ramen had very little meat, and my fiancée's miso ramen lacked flavor. We had to add extra miso paste just to make it palatable. The quality of the food was so poor that we had to throw it away and eat elsewhere. After multiple calls and weeks of waiting, we were promised a refund for the uneaten meal. However, after only receiving a partial refund, we were told that we could only receive a gift card instead of a full refund. This back-and-forth with the management has been frustrating and unprofessional. In conclusion, the lack of communication and poor customer service at Niji has left us feeling disappointed. We had hoped to find a new favorite restaurant, but we will not be returning. I recommend looking elsewhere for better food and service, such as Sakuras, Omo, or Karai.

I want to thank the staff at Niji, especially our server Two, for providing us with a fantastic meal and experience! We have always considered this place to be a hidden gem, and this visit was our best yet! We can't wait for more enjoyable moments, friendly service, and delicious tequila-infused dishes in the future.

Our waitress, Kaya, was amazing! She was incredibly sweet, very friendly to our daughter, and had a happy personality overall. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. We will definitely be returning!

The first time there and we held a 21st birthday party. the personal was incredibly courteous and friendly! so helpful when one of the helium balloons escaped from the saite? mandy was our waitress and was really amazing! what a great experience! many thanks niji! I will refer them to all I know!

I am so glad I stumbled upon this place. Literally the best sushi I have had in my life and the best dining experience ever. Our server, Silas, was so incredible and charming. I came expecting some decent sushi and a cute birthday lunch treat for my boyfriend but we received so much more. I cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu! I wish I could remember what all we ordered but our server's recommendations were so on point he may as well have read our minds. 10/10 will come again! Shout out to Silas for being the literal BEST! ??
