Heritage Family - Springfield

Pretty good food. The bread was delicious and my eggs where just right. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Food was hot and the gravy was pretty good. This restaurant is a good place to take your family..... coffee was also pretty good nothing fancy just plain old coffee.

I love these kind of places. The decor is simple, warm, and familiar. The staff is pleasant, happy to serve, and genuine they talk to not at you and listen to what you say to them. The food was as good as I would expect if this were my mother's kitchen. Good food, good people, warm atmosphere that's 5 stars for me.

I stopped and ordered breakfast, which was quite good, unfortunately due to covid there's currently no indoor dining, so I chose to eat in my car. I met both hostess/server and cook who were both quite nice and accommodating. I'm looking forward to going back once resrictions have been lifted, and I can dine in.

Tried Heritage recently for breakfast. They were pretty busy when we walked in, but within seconds they had our family of five seated comfortably. The place was clean, nice homey atmosphere. Good menu, plenty of choices, perhaps too many even. Service was good, no complaints there, especially given how busy they were at the time. The portions are very hearty, you get a lot of food for a decent price. For the five of us, only one ordering from the kids menu, food, drinks, and a decent tip came to under $60. Everything tasted good. Overall it was a pleasant experience, and a place I would take the family to again. Only reason I don't give five stars is simply because there was nothing that stood out to me, that set them apart from others like them. Like I said, good place overall, nothing bad to say about them, just your basic, all American family joint.

I have been coming here for years and it looks like there's a new owners but the breakfast is still outstanding. This is an oil fashioned American style coffee shop that features breakfast and does it well. looking for omelette, hash browns, bottomless cups of coffee, toast with many flavors of jam, and real half and half for your coffee this is the place to come. The portions are quite generous and you were not going to leave hungry
