Finley's Tap House - Springfield

The food was great. A little pricey, but worth it. They were able to accommodate our large group on short notice and the staff made it work. Will absolutely be going back again.

This was my second visit to Finley’s, and it was just as fantastic as the first. Our server, who had a long beard (I can’t remember his name), was attentive and on top of everything. I ordered the fish and chips, and it surpassed my expectations. The beer batter created a fluffy yet crunchy coating, and the coleslaw was a perfect complement. However, I’m not a fan of the fresh-cut fries—they just aren’t my preference. I prefer mine larger and crunchier, but that’s just me. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles and absolutely loved it. We both enjoyed the strawberry spinach salad, which got me excited for fresh garden food. I can already tell that this place will be bustling this summer with its outdoor seating. I recommend adding Finley’s to your must-visit list in 2022.

We visited Findlay’s Tap yesterday and had a fantastic experience! The hostess, a lovely young woman named Gabby, was incredibly friendly. I was impressed to see her not only seating guests but also bussing tables and handling takeout orders! Our waitress, Jess, was informative and took the time to explain the new items on the menu, doing an excellent job overall. The food was amazing! With such a great staff and delicious food, we will definitely return and highly recommend this place!

The food here is outstanding! I recommend trying the hot chicken; it's a generous portion. Just a heads up, the servings are quite large. They also have a great selection of whiskey. The pours are perfectly balanced—not too strong, but not too light either. The waitstaff is consistently friendly and quick to serve. It can be a bit pricey, but you definitely get your money's worth.

"The food was good, and the service was decent, but I was surprised to discover a 3 percent service fee added to my bill. I also wasn't informed about the availability of a 3 percent discount for cash payments. Additionally, I was charged $0.50 to sample a beer, which felt a bit unreasonable. While we didn’t mind spending $42 for a salad, a flatbread, and a beer, the owner's attitude left much to be desired. We were hoping for a more pleasant experience, especially in terms of customer service. Just a heads up: the food is tasty, and the service is acceptable, but be prepared for the owner's rather unwelcoming demeanor."
