They mostly use fair commercial beans and their storefront is attractive and well maintained, but seats inside and outside are limited. There is a selection of pastries; the ones we had were very good. The coffee is nicely prepared and the owners are very friendly. The main strike against them is their location, but they are comfortable to I-95 if you need a small refreshment on your trip.
Worth the detour! Such good coffee and really aware, international problems around the industry. I wish I lived in the area so I could use the offered classes. Also really dig the fact that they still ask customers to wear masks. Vaccination does not resemble complete immunity people!
I visited Saturday morning at 10:00. The venue has a few tables at the front for about 4 seats. Inside you will find a narrow area where bagged coffees and menu items and special drinks are displayed, followed by an even smaller area to pay the checkout. On the inside you will find another set of tables, totaling about 4 seats. It seemed to be a staircase that could lead to more seats, but the area was much too cramped to wait around. The place has the feeling of a wine cellar / handcrafted barnhouse....a very pronounced feeling. You can watch the baristas prepare drinks inside, but there is usually very little space to wait and certainly no place if you want to social distance. At the end of the day. I bought the cold turtle latte for my better half they enjoyed and I got a cappuccino. The latter was not very good... no foam... watery in taste... whatever was mixed was not well mixed. Nevertheless, I would try something else again. They had great service and a wide selection. There is a wide range of Cervantes brewed coffees on the menu to try. I bought bags from her El Salvadoran frying and her Limited Edition dark frying and brewed them both at home and was pleased. 8/ 25/21 Update: I went back to Mocha....it was excellent.
How did I miss this original coffee roaster all these years? I had a very smooth flat white and I will definitely be back. The atmosphere is quite cool inviting. Many parking spaces and decent handicap access.
Coffee shops are a dime a dozen. Most think they don’t need to provide good product because you take what they give. Cervantes is not that. They serve fantastic coffee that taste great but is also something different. Will be stopping back in when I’m in the area. People who work here are authentic and happy. Thanks Lily!
