Catrinas Modern Mexican - Springfield

First time eating there. The food was amazing.Food: 5/5

My family and I go there regularly and are always happy with the food but I was surprised to find out that they NOW charge for the hot sauce.I addressed to the server but she says NOW they are charging for the hot sauce. $1.50 for each small container which wasn't told when asked for it. We had 2. It's not the money but it's the principle. I don't know any restaurants in the world that charges for condiments. If this practice that they're going to implement, I guess it's the last time for our family and friends to patronize the place. Matter of principle. I hope the owner sees this review and reverse this NEW policy.

I had received a gift card to try out Catrinas, and was able to make reservations online with no problem. Upon arrival they seemed a little disorganized, but we were seated at a table, and our waiter was also a little disorganized. The restaurant was very loud, but we did appreciate having the table lamp to read our menus and see her food. The food, however, was absolutely amazing and there was a lot of it! Overall, we had a good date night. Safe travels, my friends!

This is a nice, clean restaurant with good food. It is not your typical mexican restaurant with loud music and chaotic atmosphere. You can have a conversation with ease here. Server was very friendly and helpful. The food was presented beautifully and in a timely manner. A big serving of nachos came, but unfortunately there was very little meat on them. Otherwise Catrinas would be a 5 star review.
