The food is fresh, delicious and prepared with care. large portions for a good price. the restaurant is very clean. it seems to be family-owned and family-run. we had a really nice lunch with our family of 4. we ordered bark and wobble, sweet and sour chicken, general Tso’s chicken, crab wontons, and eierrolls. yum! the people here are super nice and hospitable!
Took some takeout during the trip through springfield. it is nice to see, canton inn makes even great eating at a great price. I'm not a big fan of ordering in the pick-up window, but everyone seems to have a worker shortage. they still have the best vanishing everywhere.
I grew up in springfield and we always ate here. my wife and I drove through the city and thought here a few takeouts. great cashew chicken, great sweet and sour chicken and still the best i ever had. canton the gas house has been serving for decades great eating after springfield and they are just as good as ever.
Not for this family.Cashew Chicken- bland and sauce almost had a burnt taste.General Chicken- I have NEVER had GC with Garlic- I truly thought they had messed up my order as I could see loads of minced garlic from a jar. There was no “heat” or “spice” to it.. Just Garlic.Egg Roll was chunky and lacking flavor.Portions were of a nice balance meat vs rice.Just a $40 lesson that we will not try again.
