The Original Neal's - Spring

The food was outstanding. I ordered chicken fried chicken, while my husband chose chicken fried steak. Both dishes were fresh, not frozen, and incredibly tender. The mashed potatoes and whole kernel corn were excellent as well. For dessert, I had banana pudding, and my husband enjoyed peach cobbler with ice cream—both were fantastic. Since we opted for takeout, I can't comment on the service or atmosphere, but we're definitely planning to order from The Original Neal’s Restaurant again!

I was craving green chile stew, but this wasn't the dish I recalled. It was as bland as a plain white t-shirt.

I discovered this restaurant while working nearby, and I was impressed! The lunch specials were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning. They serve the best chicken fried steak and the banana pudding is fantastic!

The food was really good, unfortunately our waiter mumbled and he was hard to understand. They were playing music when we got there and then it was just dead silent the rest of the time. The sweet tea was great. The bad thing was we only got one glass because then they were out. We went at 6:30 and they close at 8 so it's not like we showed up right at closing and expected the world.

If you are looking for a mom and pop home cooked meal... this is it! They have daily specials that include an entree, 2 sides or 1 side and dessert for about $10. The kids love the chicken strips and I love that I don't have to cook!
