Sakekawa Japanese - Spring

The food and service were average. We started with crab puffs as an appetizer, but they were a bit overcooked. For our main course, we ordered the scorpion roll, which was quite dry and had very little shrimp. Lastly, the tempura ice cream didn't fare much better, as the shell was starting to come off. We had to wait 20 minutes after finishing our appetizer to receive our main courses. When we wanted to order dessert, we had to call over another server since ours seemed to be missing in action.

Update: I went to Uptown Asian Fusion and was treated ten times better. I've found my new go-to spot for sushi!

I placed a to-go order and, when I got home, I realized they had given us the wrong size of fried rice, which is the only thing my child will eat. I called the restaurant to explain the situation, and they told me to bring the small size back. I tried to explain that we were ready to eat and didn’t want to drive back, but they insisted that the only way to fix the order was to return the small size. They assured me that it would be ready when I arrived. However, when I got there, the order wasn’t prepared. They took the small size back, and I have a feeling they just mixed it with more rice, which might not comply with health codes. Overall, the situation was poorly handled. The food is good, but the service leaves much to be desired.

We went last night for a date night and it was overall excellent. Food was tasty, service friendly and fast and the menu had a huge variety! We will definitely go back!
