Cotton Patch Cafe - Spring

Such a wonderful surprise! My husband and I went for lunch that turned into a feast!! First time going…everything was so good! Fried green tomatoes OMG Yum! Fish was Flaky! Shrimp perfect and not over breaded ! Prices were reasonable. If you are lucky you will be served by Melanie who was welcoming and very attentive. She anticipated refills on drinks and did not not have to ask. She made me and my husband feel like we were guests at her home!!! Thanks Melanie for such a great Dining experience !!! We will visit again soon!

I order uber eats. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and an order of the cornbread. The chicken was tough and the cornbread was burned. Very disappointingFood: 2/5

I came with a group of 10 to lunch today. The service was extremely slow even though the restaurant was nearly empty. it took us an hour 45 minutes with no appetizers and deserts to go. The waitress was very inefficient. We ended up doing some of the job ourselves. Some of these things are more minor than others but the cumulative effect means they have lost a lot of future business. [She just put the bread plates at the end of the long table; she didn’t move around the table to take orders (so there was lots of people having to pass on info because she couldn’t hear them or they didn’t hear her) she just stood there waiting until we figured out she expected us to pass down the menus to the one place she stood. She didn’t bus the table of salad plates to make room for the mains which was needed because the table was tight. Drinks were never refilled. The food was mostly served barely warm. She didn’t offer to replace a dish that was served to the wrong guest and partially eaten. It took 15 20 minutes to replace a dish that was incorrect and didn’t even leave the sides so the person had something to eat or comp the dish. It took a very long time time to get and then process checks. Requested boxes then she came back 10 minutes later without the boxes saying she didn’t know how many. Requested bags since the desert to go had ice cream that could melt and she took too long so we just went by the kitchen area to pick up. It was not crowded at the time and there seemed to be 4 6 servers. On the other hand the food was pretty tasty. Atmosphere was okay except a number of flies in the dining room.

The server was friendly, the rolls were hot, the salad was fresh, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the baked potato was tasty. We didn’t run out of drinks. We were a large group and I was very satisfied with my food.

We use to love Cotton Patch but this time around the rolls tasted like freezer burn and we aren’t sure what happened to my turkey.
