They do a lot of takeout, so don’t hesitate to call in an order to go. They have a special side window just for takeout orders, which makes the process really efficient. The previous reviews convinced me to try Sam Hicks while I was in Spooner, and the food was so good that I’ll be returning on vacation just to eat here again. It's just a five-minute drive from the golf course if you're looking for a lunch spot after a round. The only downside is that they close at 4 PM on Sundays. It's not really a significant issue, but if you’re planning to have dinner on a Sunday and want to enjoy Sam Hicks, just keep in mind that you need to order a bit earlier. I’ll definitely be back—thank you for the wonderful meal!

Absolutely the best cheeseburger I've ever had! This was exactly what I wanted for Mother's Day. Everything is made fresh to order, and they really take their time to get it just right. I highly recommend calling in your order ahead of time if you want to enjoy the patio or for takeout. If you're passing through Spooner, WI, this is a must-visit spot!

As the name suggests, this place truly offers real food. I'm a big fan of their Mexican dishes and malts. It's a drive-in style where you order from a window, but there’s plenty of outdoor seating, along with some indoor options. Please consider supporting this restaurant as there's construction happening on Highway 63 right outside their door, but you can still access Sam's. It's definitely family-friendly, though they do serve beer as well. I always make it a point to stop here when I'm in beautiful Northwestern Wisconsin.
