Umi Kitchen And Sushi - Spokane

I've been there before but I finally convinced my wife and friend to go and they were pleasantly surprised. My wife (the picky eater) was very happy with her chicken teriyaki and said she wouldn't mind coming again sometime. The portions were large and we thought next time we might order less and share. My friend and I both loved their sushi and would come back just for the sushi. His wife (also a picky eater) loved it and was very happy with the wine choice our server suggested. Definitely a big hit and we will return.

We wish we had sat downstairs, but overall, we had a wonderful time!

We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar. We initially had reservations at the main restaurant, but I'm really glad we decided to move to the bar instead. The service and food were exceptional. We will definitely return with friends.

The sushi here was disappointing; it simply didn't meet expectations. The tempura was greasy and soggy, and the rolls missed the mark flavor-wise, lacking authentic seasoning. There was an excessive amount of mayo, which overwhelmed the dishes. Even the powdered wasabi didn't taste fresh. On a positive note, the service was excellent. If you're over 21, I recommend sitting downstairs for a much nicer atmosphere, as the upstairs has more of a cafe vibe.

Very nice ambiance. Service was good. Sashimi was great roll was OK. Not the best sushi I've ever had but quite good.
