Hunt Spokane

We were very excited to try Hunt. Atmosphere is very cool, uncomfortable stools bolted to the ground are not. The menu looked delicious and we were hungry. A waiter arrived at our table with the wrong food and when we declined it, he said, must be the wrong table, didn’t look at the ticket. Okay, no problem, right? When our food came, one of the plates was wrong, even though the waitress said what was ordered. When we pointed out it was wrong, she was like, SO. And just stared at us. Two more times she was told it was the incorrect dish and she didn’t move, finally we relented and took what she brought. Food was good. My husbands meatloaf was delicious!!!! At the send of the meal, 1 check was brought for 4 people. We were together at a table, but arrived separately and one couple ordered drinks and an appetizer before we even arrived. We asked for a two checks and she said she would split if we gave her two credit cards. When we wanted to pay cash, she said she didn’t have enough money to take cash. What??!!! Finally, two checks arrive and guess what, split down the middle. We’d had enough! We paid and left. The atmosphere is cool, the food is good, and our waitress was bad. Never again.

We ordered the beef stroganoff and the server brought us braised beef. It was tender but not very tasty. When our server brought us the brazed beef, we informed her that we had ordered beef stroganoff, and she just stood there and said. Well, this is brazed beef and so we just ate it. We were with another couple and she brought the full bill to us. And we ask to have it split individually per couple. And she split the bill right down the middle regardless of who had what?My non alcohol surely temple was delicious though.

My husband and I went in for happy hour and we WILL be back! The bartender was friendly and he made the best old fashioned I've had in Spokane. My husband had a gin martini that was amazing as well. Food was really good and atmosphere is cozy. Perfect spot for after work drinks and food!

I can’t speak highly enough about Hunt. I stopped by for an early dinner after seeing they had been nominated for a James Beard award and after dining there, I see why! Walking through the doors and downstairs you enter a cool, cozy space…a wonderful respite from the heat and glare of the summer street.Jay, the bartender, created a welcoming and convivial atmosphere—slinging drinks, food, recommendations, and conversation all the while tending his spotless bar without seeming hurried or hassled. The food from Chef Peter is spot on with nearly everything made from scratch and in-house. The standouts for me were the roasted mushrooms with herbs and fresh focaccia, and the chorizo with feta and pickled vegetables. This will be a regular stop any time I’m in Spokane.

We had a great meal here. Staff was really nice and welcoming. The cocktails were good and well crafted, the food was excellent. I'll be coming back for sure, and I plan to tell everyone I know about this place. The atmosphere is neat, very unique, I'd like to look around a bit more the next time I'm in.
