According to the map, the owner and cook is a learned butcher, which promises good meat quality. So we all took the ox spiess. On the way a leaf salad with pine nuts, delicious, but the dressing a little sour. The spear consisted of very good beef, perfect medium roasted. There's nothing to blame. The frying potatoes were a little ****, a longer stay in the pan would have done them well. The herbal butter prepared with dill, I found delicious. The wife also meant to taste cumin, she doesn't like it. The main dinner came when we were still at the salad. You can do better timen. Price level reasonable, cleanliness is fine. Good wine selection. We had a Grauburgunder from Kallstadt or a Riesling from Forst, both very good. Palatinate wines, our favorites. Overall recommended.
Stopped for lunch just by coincidence on our way to a Christmas Market in a neighboring town and wound up being a terrific find. Excellent meal, beautiful interior, and outstanding wine. We all had the pork steak and it was fantastic. Tried a dry red...wine and it turned out to be so good, we stopped at the Henninger winery down the road just to buy a case of it. Well worth the drive from Kaiserslautern just to see the Weinstrasse and the area, but when you throw in a fantastic meal...SCORE!

There's nothing to blame. Bratkartoffeln a little ****, a longer stay in the pan would have made her well. The herbal butter prepared with Dill, I found delicious. The woman also wanted to taste Kumin, she doesn't like it. The main dinner came when we were in the salad. You can have better time. Price level reasonable, cleanliness is fine. Good wine selection.
