I don't like ordering from a computer screen in the lobby. What happened to human contact?
3/30/2024 Noon. Spencer IA. Ordering system was down for their ordering stations. Wait time for food inside was about forty minutes to an hour. Drive thru was at a stand still as they had to take orders with one of the front counter stations and the other was out. What I think was the manager did a good job keeping angry people from yelling at their staff. If someone started in on an employee he would jump in and explain to them what was going on. He told a staff member to go out and let those in drive thru know how long it would be. Most left. This happened a couple of times to those in the drive thru line I think if they had the employees take orders on paper and process them that way with a description of the vehicle and a number for them they could've cut wait times by 80%. Corporate should have scenarios for these types of problems. (Why pay a franchise fee to get hung out to dry on one of your busiest weekends because of your electronic POS system that is mandated by corporate). Not a good situation for the Spencer store. But, I will not hold it against them as this is the only bad experience I've had at this location. Taco Bell make your C-Suite work a holiday weekend and have problems and see what your employees go through day in and day out and how you could get them better support. Thanks, and rant over!!!
Did not have the best experience on this visit. Workers showed lack of enthusiasm and the quality of the foods was not up to standards for what I expect from taco bell.Update: much improved
