Owen Valley Winery - Spencer

Love this place! It's a small, family-owned winery and one of the few Indiana wineries we've found that can produce a good dry wine. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you'll usually find at least one member of the family in the tasting room. There are always bottles from OV Winery in our wine fridge. Particularly Old River Red, Old River White, and Chambourcin Rosé. They excel at sweet wines and their 2023 release Strawberry is a great example.They also have a kitchen where you can get panini, soup, charcuterie platters, etc. All of it very good. On Friday's they release a new flavor of cheesecake and you can usually find us there enjoying a slice with a glass of wine. It's typically sold out that weekend and the next Friday is a new flavor. They get very creative with the cheesecake with flavors like oatmeal creme pie, chocolate/peanutbutter, fruit loops, and so on.Their grounds are very nice and they have music on weekends during the warmer months.UPDATE! They now have four Tapas items on their menu. My wife and I tried the Goat Chees Crustini and the Spring Citrus Salad. Both are delicious!

This tucked away yet elevated piece of Heaven had kind staff, and good music playing softly. I was very impressed with the grounds and the wine I bought was excellent. I was also impressed with the menu, but did not eat this visit.

Very nice small winery with delicious sandwiches. The wine flight was good and we bought two bottles of the mulled wine. Outdoor patio and there is live music on the weekend. The grape vines were nearby. The wait staff was helpful in making our selections.

We love Owen Valley Winery! We joined the wine clab last year and it's always exciting to see what we will be getting. The staff is great, Jackie is the best! The food is good and so is the atmosphere. We aren't crazy about sweet wine, most IN wineries seem to only make sweet wine, Owen Valley has lots of great choices that aren't sweet and fruity.Parking: Lots of parking.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options for some items, just ask!

What a gem! While I'm not a wine drinker, I do appreciate excellent food, a lovely ambiance, and creating fantastic memories with friends. The summer sausage sandwich was absolutely delicious, and the Brie platter was simply outstanding. They offer an extensive wine selection that my friends thoroughly enjoyed, while I had the option of canned sodas and bottled water. I can’t wait for my next visit! Parking is ample, with plenty of grass space available.
