Starbucks Coffee Shop - Spelthorne

Wow. Bad. Waiting time 1 cappuccino ..11 minutes. People at counter 2. Coffee out of 10 0! What I have noticed the last couple of years is Starbucks and Costa do not offer good service ice or good coffee. People have just got used to accepting poor a poor service and poor quality product. Trouble is most people don't know what good coffee or service is. I've decided , never again to these stores, going to stick to small privately run ones.

The restaurant is open until 8pm, but at 5:30pm they did not have filter coffee available and were not willing to brew another pot. They were only willing to sell black Americano instead, which was disappointing. I would not have ordered Americano if I wanted it. The restaurant's biggest profit line is after tea, yet they were not willing to accommodate a simple request for filter coffee. I will not be returning to this establishment.

The food and coffee were really good but out of the 4 Staff members there, 3 clearly looked like they couldn't care less about the customers or their jobs and only 1 actually was keen and approachable but was mopping up and sadly not behind the counter. We waited five minutes to before actually being served, and when we were eventually served weren't ever welcomed or given an apology for the wait even though we were blatantly ignored by them. Not a good service, the coffee was mediocre, you could tell it was rushed and not made with love.

I stopped by to grab a simple cup of coffee and ended up waiting in line for 10 minutes while a young female staff member struggled with an annoying customer and the register. It felt like a scene out of Fawlty Towers as the customer took forever to order just three items and even apologized for causing a delay. Despite the long queue forming, the staff didn't acknowledge the situation and continued to fumble with the register without looking at me standing in front of them. Eventually, the staff member walked away without serving me, so I decided to leave and go to Cafe Nero instead. I have visited this branch 6 or 7 times in the past month and have never experienced good service. The service and facilities at Cafe Nero were superb in comparison.

This restaurant is a filthy and revolting place. There was food all over the floor and on the tables even at 10am. The staff was slow and seemed completely indifferent. It was a truly disgraceful experience.
