Kouchin - Spelthorne

Kouchin has now been taken over My starter sheek kebab was like a dry piece of rubber it was obviously reheated to order and the excellent kouchin mint sauce has been replaced with a curdled milk flavourless taste. The salad was brown on the edges So won’t be returning .

Had takeaway. Really disappointed. Appears Kouchin has been taken over and the food is now really bad. Was tasteless and bland. Have used Kouchin for many years and has always been consistently good but will not be returning now. So gutted

And that is the truth. We have had local Indian restaurant and takeaway food and this has to be the best. We had butter chicken, lamb biryani, naans, rice, bombay aloo and lentils.. it all looked different and tasted delicious, freshly made with spices to match.

Ordered a take away from this restaurant and it will certainly bethe last time. I ordered a lamb curry, rice etc. and when I got it home, I found it to be very watery, not what I expected. And the flavour was almost non-existent for a curry. I was not happy and called the restaurant. The person told me that I should have asked for a thicker curry and he would have recommended one, now what an insult that was as I told him that I have ordered many curries in my lifetime to know what I was ordering! He then said that he would give me a discount next time I ordered, I asked what that would be and he said 10% off. What an absolute joke for a disgusting curry that has no flavour whatso ever. So would I be returning...Hell 'No ' !! There are many other take aways in the area.

16th September Looked up Tripadvisor for a good Indian restaurant in Ashford and true to the reviews, it was good. Pleasant staff, keen to help and no rush for your order. Also there to help you choose and adapt to individual tastes great personal touch. Nice and light, not too bright, just just right. Comfortable chairs and set up. As for the food, very good, exceptionally tasty and when I say that, I mean your could taste the spices and not just over bearing heat from chillis. Supportive staff during the meal and right to the end. My friend had their special Kouchin dish with whisky very impressive and not just because of the whisky. I live Guildford are but would definitely make the effort to come again.
