Holiday Inn Spearfish-convention Center, An Ihg

The receptionist, a girl (with earrings), was absolutely fantastic! She was so friendly and helpful. The hotel was quite large and it took me 3 or 4 days to get used to it. I am giving it 3 stars because the air conditioning was not cool enough, and it wasn't very strong either. Additionally, the noise from the construction was very disruptive. I understand that there was a sign about it, but I also feel like there should have been an option for guests to choose if they wanted the room near the construction or not. The pool area was also beautiful and spacious, but the air conditioning should have been turned on, especially when people were socializing. Besides these minor issues, overall it was a good experience.

The restaurant was clean and well lit, with friendly staff, although a bit hard to locate. It felt somewhat secluded, being on the outskirts of the city.

The hotel in Spearfish is conveniently located right off the interstate, near an Applebee's, Walmart, a gas station, and other useful places. Our room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. However, the room seemed a bit outdated, the pool was very cold, and the layout was different from other Holiday Inns I have stayed at. Breakfast is not included in the price, and the coffee bar was not always accessible like it usually is at Holiday Inns.

We had a bad experience in this hotel. I am usually not a complainer, but long story short, our room was not clean, had a bad smell and very dated. After complaining to the reception, they dragged us into another room. we have brought our things into the new room in the second floor. the door was cracked. the beds had not been made and the room had not even been cleaned by the night before. they tried to get us into a third room, but this time we were pretty disgusting. we left the holiday inn and were in the hampton inn in lead. I was in many holiday inns, but that was the worst.

A failing Holiday Inn. Many items barely work. Poor Wi-Fi coverage in room. Old, worn building and rooms (needs full refresh and upgrade). Poor services (e.g. limit coffee available hours).Basically, your typical worn-out Holiday Inn.UPDATEMore items not working in room.
