The Beacon Drive-in - Spartanburg

Wow! That was a new experience for us. It's almost like a cafeteria line. I have no idea how the employees can keep up with all orders. I had land ham sandwich, another in our group had a burger and one had the BBQ. If you add the onion rings and frits it?s enough for 2-3 persons. I was glad we saw records before us because it's a ton of food. The tea reminded me of my grandmothers. Great stop in the area!

Nostalgic. Is this the best food ever?. Nope. Will I come back again and again? Yes. You can't quantify how nostalgia changes the flavor and perception of what we eat. This place, steeped in tradition pulls at those who grew up with its flavors.

Friendly and personal workers. Fast service. More food than we could finish in a session. The mouths of the onion rings! Food was good, Desserts too. Many history on the walls and behind the counters. Good atmosphere. Must experience when in the area.

Great food! Huge portions! I got the shrimp plate and my husband got the seafood combo with flounder and shrimp. I could only eat about 1/4 of them. Fried onions are delicious!

I read all the recent reviews and they didn?t look good.. but I decided to try it for myself. Since I may never be here again.. let?s try it. Well? I was very pleased! The food, was great. Now realize what you are ordering. It?s drive inn food. But they do it right. And it DOES have flavor. Everything I got was great. I got a double cheeseburger A Plenty. I also got peach cobbler and apple pie. All guud. If I am back in this area I will definitely eat here again. I am not a local, I?m from Kentucky. I have done plenty of food reviews. If your looking for good drive in food.. try it.
