Sushi Ya - Sparta

I ate here for the first time recently and ordered tuna, salmon and yellow tail rolls. The tuna was only average quality, probably less than average. It was lean, except for some strict fat that was not big. The yellow tail was also not a big cut and had inconsistent color by using low quality fish. Nevertheless, the taste was good. The salmon was good. The fat ratio was very good and was very rich. I expect a good laughter. The clear soup was great. I'd eat here again.

I've been here for a few years. I've never been disappointed. Owners are beautiful people and the food is always delicious and fresh. My husband and I love it being BYOB and we often make an appointment. I love the naruto roll, all the sashimi, the out of control roll and the yellow tail with jalapenos (I don't remember the name). I highly recommend this place. I am very cautious and picky when it comes to sushi due to its potential to make you very sick when not properly treated and prepared. But I never had a single concern to eat here again and again. Try it! On another note It is sad to see how common people are here in their reviews. I wonder if they even had the power to contact the restaurant or say something while they were there to correct their problems. Things happen sometimes and this is just the nature of life. If you have a problem or if something does not meet your standards, say something! Do not possibly spoil the reputation of a family-run local restaurant that works very hard from your thoughtful reviews. This is a real business with real people who support their families by working here.

Food has always been good here. Usually go with the bento boxes cause they are just pure flavor. Highly recommend

We have been dining at Sushi Ya since our kids were little our youngest not even in Kindergarten. Now they are in high school! It isn’t easy eating out with 3 little kids but this restaurant always make it work for us. Even though we moved 30 minutes away we always come back for a quick meal whenever we can. The staff is always pleasant, the premises are clean, and the food is fresh, flavorful and prepared just right. We had not been here since before quarantine but were luckily able to go tonight. We were happy to find out that nothing had changed and the food was as delicious as it always has been. We have been to many Japanese restaurants in the area !but for a casual, family dinner, Sushi Ya will always be #1 for us.

One of the best sushi places around. I've been here dozens of times and never had a bad experience. Do not let the location or the outer appearance fool you. I would rate this place 6 stars if possible.
