Chromata - Sparta

Amazing restaurant! Everything was absolutely delicious and we had the best orange pie of our whole trip in Greece! Local and very tasteful products. Excellent wine too. The view is amazing. The staff is adorable and welcomed us very warmly. Don't miss it, it's so worth the 5 minutes walk up the hill (though you can also come by car)!!

We are Canadian and had lunch here. This is where farm to table meets fine dinning in a casual setting. Only open for lunch on Sat and Sun, otherwise it's dinner. Family owned and operated. Friendly staff who speak English. Incredible food, great service and the most awesome view of the Sparta valley. Don't miss this gem!

Very nice restaurant, nice menu with some greek and more international dishes. Very tasty. Amazing orange cake for dessert, nice green salad (cf photo), nice and original Ozzo, nice pasta with mushrooms, nice hand made pastry. We were 11 and all very happy of our dishes! You will find a photo of the English menu attached. Incredible view from the terrace. The servers were very nice too. Overall among our best restaurants in Grece so far! Two small points of attention : Service took quite some time, so don’t come if you’re in a big rush (or tell the servers). The road is quite narrow to get to it and goes high. But even with a big van we figured out how to almost reach the restaurant and finish by foot.

It is an amazing place with views of Sparta and Mystras. The service is warm and inviting, extremely polite. Food is a great example of Greek modern cuisine. Bonus, while we were having lunch, we had the spectacle of rain.

Beautiful and atmospheric, with delicious alternative Greek cuisine, a must visit when in Sparta. If there is a large group, I recommend to try as many dishes "in the middle*, so as to sample as many delicacies as possible!
