The Golden City - Spalding

During my first visit to this restaurant, I had a fantastic experience. The staff were very nice and friendly, and even gave me a free dessert because it was my birthday! Overall, it was a brilliant place and I will definitely come back.

Another amazing dining experience as usual. The staff is incredibly friendly and always greets you with a smile. I highly recommend this place.

I placed an order online through the Bigfoodie platform with the expectation of having my meal delivered. However, I ended up having to collect it instead. Unfortunately, the food was not ready at the specified collection time and I had to wait for an additional 10-15 minutes. The quality of the food was mediocre, with the ribs being very fatty and the fried rice seeming to have more peas than rice, which I did not enjoy. Overall, the meal was nothing special and did not live up to the praise it had received from others. I may have been influenced by my fond memories of when the old owner, Tom, ran Spalding's first Chinese restaurant.

We had a disappointing meal at this restaurant. The tasteless half duck seemed to be from a duckling considering the small portion size. The pancakes were cold and stuck together. This was our first and last time dining at this establishment. The food was for takeout, and it was for dinner. The price per person ranged from £30 to £40.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in town with a friendly and welcoming staff. The service is excellent and the food is always freshly cooked. Perfect for a dinner outing, expect to spend around £50-60 per person.
