Have tried the nearby London Bridge Tandori and found it average and not great value. Near London Bridge station, so suitable for the quick dash for the last train.
The red interiors giving an uncertain first impression is completely dispelled as soon as you order the food.Dal Bukhara and Kadhaai paneer have been my favourite. It is extremely authentic. The staff is helpful. My first visit got me a slight discount and the second visit a free glass of wine, as a gesture perhaps for coming for the second time!Highly recommended.
8 of us visited here on a Thursday night and it was a pretty poor experience. We were the only table until late when 2 more walked in. Should have been a sign.We were not smiled at or treated very kindly by the staff. We were given a drink that was not ordered and then were looked at like we were stupid when we questioned it! So we kept it and paid for it. The food was ok, particularly spicy! Everyone's meals were the same, hotter than usual. It was £1 per poppadom and extra for the chutneys, more than all of our locals! Biriyani was very dry and did not come with vegetable curry as usually does to make it more of a meal! The spinach was disgusting and looked and tasted like mush! Was blitzed to within an inch of its life and not edible and £6.50 too so a rip off! It worked out very expensive and not really worth the money. Wished that we had got the tube to brick lane where you can get a great curry! Then there was the most random cd playing hip hop, rnb and pop! Would not recommend! They are relying on the location to survive!
The food here is really tasty and if you ask the captian to make it spicy they will make it spicy!! Pretty close to real Indian flavours and taste. The only issue is QUANTITY, so be prepared to order loads if you are really hungry..... A small restaurant but Overall a good place to eat if you are near and around London Bridge.
This is one of the best place in London to enjoy Indian cuisine. On all above the food, is the staff over here. They are the most friendly people and give you full ease as you enjoy food at home. I am coming here for past 4 years and I love every moment being here.
