This isn't based on just one incident but rather the attitude of the majority of...staff, on several occasions, is that they would rather not be there, they will do the bear minimum to help and in a number of instances were openly contemptuous of the customers. On my most recent visit the us versus them' attitude spilled over into actual verbal confrontation. The atmosphere was so hostile we wondered what we night have done to offend them and we ended the night having a chat outside with another group of customers who had exactly the same experience and also said they would never be going back.
Lovely pub 4 minutes walk london bridge station. Goujon sandwiches and risotto delicious. Nice atmosphere at lunchtime. Friendly and helpful staff. My rating is based on the fact that none of the staff wore face masks when serving food to the table. Neither were they...wearing masks behind the bar. I am not sure at how pedantic I am being, but to me, especially serving food to the table, masks should be worn. A bottle of Pinot Grigio and sparkling water was £30, which is a little steep in my book to say the least, as I work in the catering industry and the wine was no more than £6 and the bottle of water £1 I tried to contact the pup/company direct before I posted this, but unfortunately the complaints link on the website did not work, just a blank page. To conclude: good food, lovely staff, COVID precautions lax and expensive wine
We were very impressed with the service. Friendly staff, did not feel rushed at all. Very well organised making it enjoyable. The food was delicious and plenty of it! Thank you for making our day great. Table of 5.
Booked this pub for a nice Sunday roast. Waited for our booked table for 15 minutes to be told there were no roasts left. We were pretty disappointed with this from the start… we ordered burgers which were over priced and very average. Then we...finished our meals and 2 people on the table beside us got delivered 2 roasts dinners, we confronted the bar staff about this and they quite simply couldn’t care less. Awful service, awful food in an awful pub. There’s a subway opposite, better off going there, kinder staff and nicer food!!!
My friends and I work in cocktailbars. friend ordered a tommys margarita, which was a tequila with lime in the round. no sirup and glass were not cleaned. I ordered long island, which was in the ground gin, koks and sweetener, and my other friend ordered a gin and. a tonic that came in a whisky glass. the lady who served us was also very rude. would not recommend.
