Przekaż informację zwrotnąBasilico was once fantastic. A few years ago, it was without a doubt my top choice for pizza. However, it has declined significantly since then. Last night's experience may have been the worst yet. The website boasts about high quality and passion, but there is no way to contact them. It seems like there has been a change in management or something. Prices continue to rise and new charges appear randomly. The rules for redeeming loyalty points are constantly changing, and the quality of the pizzas has taken a nosedive.
I have been living here for 7 years and Basilico's Diavola pizza is our favorite choice. The pizzas are not cheap, but you can get a large, spicy one. This pizza has a thin crust that is not soggy or overloaded with toppings, just right. If you prefer a messy pizza with a gooey crust, this might not be for you, as there are plenty of options for that in Bermondsy. Stick to the classics or go with the Diavola if you want a thin, delicious pizza from Basilico.
This pizza was not what I expected. It seemed like the dough and tomato sauce were preheated, and then the toppings were added later when the order came in. The dough itself was more like a cracker and may have been sitting around for a while. After slapping on the toppings of choice and briefly reheating it, the pizza came out with lukewarm toppings and barely melted mozzarella, making it a soggy mess. The sauce seemed to be cold and added from a plastic bottle, giving it an artificial color. Overall, the pizza was disappointing, and there was a lot of spillage due to how wet it was during delivery. I believe I could find a better option in the freezer aisle.
The pizza is very good americana is my prefer but price versus quality and service there are too difference
I wish I’d seen these reviews earlier, there was a queue at Franca Manca in Bermondsey so after a film at Kino we went home and thought we’d order. Some years ago I’d ordered from them and it was great, it’s the most expensive pizza around. We had two small pizzas, with a thin dry base, tiny and over £40! Anywhere is better than this, the ready made at Waitrose is a lot better.
