The Marble Bar - Southport

Typical good pub grub. Quick service, friendly staff. Happy to go back again. Parking and entry into the hotel a bit confusing.

The recent addition of an outside dining/bar area for smokers has meant non-smokers are stuck inside in limited dining area, so this is not our "First Choice" but we popped in recently for a lunch and the food was fresh and tasty. Mainly a sports bar for the lads, with pokies at the back, but not a place to take families and there are better places to pick from. However, for people who smoke, and like to bet with beer, it's a good spot.

We found this restaurant on trip adviser and what a great tip off it was. We had two lovely chicken dishes, green curry and chilli with basil. The chicken was all breast meat and very nice. Vegies just right too. The roti though was the icing on the cake. It was the best I'd ever had, light and freshly baked...just beautiful. Service needs a mention too, very polite and friendly and the food was served extremely quickly even though they seemed quite busy. No alcohol on the menu but hey who needs it when the food is so fresh and tasty.

Unfortunately the Gold Coast is not well known for its live music scene so it will come as quite a shock to most visitors that we do indeed have some

Dylan is an exceptional server, he is extremely friendly and efficient. The customer service he provides is top-notch, we could use more staff members like him!
